Privacy Policy

Owlex Builder ("the app") is made by Owlex ("we", "us"). It lets you describe an Android app in plain language; an AI writes the code and the app builds it on your phone. This policy explains what data the app and our server use, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. Contact: owlexinc@gmail.com.

1. Data we collect

• Account: your email address, the name you choose, your profile photo (optional) and how you sign in (Google or email and password). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them.
• Account data kept in the cloud so it follows you to another phone: your settings (such as the intelligence level, sounds, review after building), your design styles, your AI usage counters and your profile.
• Points and purchases: your points balance and points used; for each purchase, the product, the number of points, the Google Play order ID, the date, and whether it was a test purchase or was refunded. Payments are made through Google Play: we never receive your card or bank details.
• What you send to the AI: your requests, the answers to the AI's questions, notes, files and images you attach, and the content of the app project the AI works on. These are sent through our server to the AI provider to produce the answer (see section 3).
• Reports: when you report AI content, the reason, your note, and the AI result it is about (the request, the AI's text or question, the app's name), the app version and your account ID.

The apps you build, their source files, the activity log and the conversation history stay on your phone. Built apps are also saved to the Documents/Owlex Builder folder on your phone.

We do not use advertising, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use analytics services.

2. How we use it

• To create your account, sign you in, and keep your settings and styles in sync between your phones.
• To run the AI requests you make and count the points they use.
• To credit your purchases, take back the points of refunded purchases, and prevent fraud and abuse (for example a limit on requests per minute).
• To review reported AI content and improve the safety of the results.
• To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising.

3. Who processes your data

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore): accounts and cloud data.
• Google Play: payments, purchase verification and refunds.
• Cloudflare: hosts our server, which checks your sign-in and points and relays AI requests. It does not keep the content of your requests.
• Third-party AI model providers (reached through an AI routing service): they process your requests to produce the answers, under their own privacy terms. The model behind each intelligence level may change over time.

These providers may process data in countries other than yours. They act on our behalf for the purposes above.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account data, points and purchase records while your account exists. When you delete your account, everything is deleted (see section 5). Google Play keeps its own records of your orders under its own policy. Data on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the app (apps saved in Documents/Owlex Builder are your files and stay until you remove them).

5. Deleting your account

In the app, open Account → Delete account, or use the web page Delete your account. This permanently deletes your account, its cloud data, your points and purchase records, your reports, and on that phone its apps and conversations. Points are not refunded. Signing in again later, even with the same Google account, starts a new, empty account. You can also ask us to delete your account by writing to owlexinc@gmail.com from the email address of the account.

6. Your rights

You can see and change your name and photo in the app, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

7. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens on your phone are encrypted with a key kept in the Android Keystore. Only our server, with a restricted service account, can change points and purchases.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
